The Chicago Suburban Alliance met on June 28th

The Chicago Suburban Alliance met Saturday, June 28th
at the Palatine Village Hall. The Alliance consists
of people from all around the Chicago area who are
interested in preserving neighborhoods and historic
homes and buildings. It lets the Coalition share
information and ideas with other nearby communities
facing the same sorts of issues with teardowns and
redevelopment. It meets about once a quarter at
various locations around the Chicago suburban area.

The June 28th meeting featured briefings by members of
citizen groups as well as historic preservation
commission members, village trustees, and other
officials from Chicagoland communities such as
Hinsdale, Oak Park, Palatine, Glen Ellyn, Glenview,
Wilmette, and Winnetka.

The Chicago Suburban Alliance does not as yet have a
website, but it does have a Yahoo group that allows
members to exchange information via email and file
sharing. For information on the Yahoo group, see
